Helpful Hints ~ Opening Digital
Scrapbooking Papers

This Digital Scrapbooks and
More Lesson teaches how to open digital scrapbook papers or digital scrapbook supplies
that are saved on a computer then opened in Photoshop®
Elements 6 in order to begin digital scrapbooking.
Note:
For this Lesson a PC was used and XP operating system.

Step 1: Open the a New File |

|
Open Photoshop® Elements 6 in the Editor Mode Go
to File > Open Or use the shortcut keys Ctrl + O |
|
|
|
|
Step 2: Navigate to the folder that has
saved the digital scrapbooking supplies |
|
||
|
Navigate to the folder
that holds your digital scrapbooking papers and supplies Note: If you do not have any digital
scrapbooking papers saved to your computer, you can buy them at The Digital Scrapbooks
and More Click Here - Scrap Shop |

|
Step 3: Adjust the view settings |
|

|
Once you have navigated
to the folder that holds your digital scrapbooking papers and supplies, you
can adjust the view settings for easier selection of digital scrapbooking papers
and supplies Click on the View Menu symbol (see arrow #1 in red) Then
choose Thumbnails (see arrow #2 in red) |

|
Step 4: Double Click on the digital paper
you would like to use |
|
||
|
Now you can see what
papers and supplies you have purchased and saved onto your computer much
better! Double
click on the
digital paper or supply that you would like to open and use |
|
|
|
|
Step 5: The digital scrapbooking paper is
now open |
|
||
|
Your digital
scrapbooking paper or supply is now open in Photoshop® Elements 6 and ready to use! Note: this same technique
can be used to open other scrapbook supplies too. |
