What IS Digital Scrapbooking?
Digital Scrapbooking is a modern approach to traditional scrapbooking. It is combining digital photos and digital papers, text, and digital embellishments together to make a digital scrapbook page. This digital scrapbook can be printed or made into a PDF or JPEG file to email to family or friends. Digital scrapbooking is a great way to save money, create less clutter, and share your memories with more friends and family than is possible with traditional scrapbooking. What do I need in order to start Digital Scrapbooking TODAY?
You will need a computer, digital images from your digital camera or scanner, and some type of software program to assist with digital scrapbooking (we recommend Adobe® Photoshop® or Adobe® Photoshop® Elements, but it is even possible to digital scrapbook in Microsoft® Word!). Once you have these three things, you will need to purchase some digital scrapbook papers and supplies, as well as digital scrapbook training. We offer comprehensive tutorial training for Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced digital scrapbookers, where you can buy one lesson at a time, or entire tutorial chapters. I have never Digitally Scrapbooked before. Can I do it?
It is always a little intimidating to learn something new, but digital scrapbooking is easy and fun… and we are here to help! First, make sure you have a computer, digital pictures or photos, and some type of digital scrapbooking software to assist you when you digitally scrap (please see question above). Then, you need training. Go to our Tutorials and start with our Getting Stared Series for comprehsive beginning level training, whether you own Adobe® Photoshop® Elements or Adobe® Photoshop®. Continue with our digital scrapbooking tutorials, and watch each training video in order. Also, buy a few digital scrapbook kits (with papers and embellishments) so that you can follow along with the tutorials and start practicing. And there you go, you’re digitally scrapbooking! What can you make when you Digitally Scrapbook?
The sky is the limit when it comes to the things you can create with digital scrapbooking! Some examples are: scrapbook albums, personalized photo albums, diaries, recipe pages, and cookbooks.
